Customer Service RepresentativeTypes of Walkers & Rollators We Carry:
Walkers are mobility devices that help support you while walking indoors or outdoors. There are many different styles of walkers depending on your needs. Often walkers are used after surgical procedures or just for support around the home. They are generally considered a short-term solution.
They come in many different styles including: stationary walkers, two-wheeled walkers, knee walkers and 3-wheeled walkers. Walkers help support you, provide stability and promote your safety when recovering from injury. If you choose not to use a walker, you increase the risk of falls, further injuries and delay in your recovery process.
At ADAPT Home Health Care, we want to understand what your specific situation is so that we can recommend you a walker or mobility aid that is suitable for your individual situation. Mobility is key when it comes to helping you feel confident and promoting your independence.

They are often referred to as “walkers” but rollators offer 4 wheels and a seat allowing you to take a rest if you are needing a rest while you are on a walk. The wheels of rollators are more durable allowing them to last longer especially when being used outdoors.
These mobility aids are highly recommended especially if you have suffered from a fall in the past. They have shown to not only prevent falls but heavily encourage and promote independent mobility. There are many different styles, types and models available depending on what your needs are.
At ADAPT Home Health Care, we are an ADP approved vendor and we will hold your hand through the process in determining if you would be eligible or not. Our team is dedicated to assessing your needs and finding you suitable solutions for purchase or rent.

There are a few different types of rollators to choose from depending on your needs. Our trained Mobility Experts will help assess your needs and help provide a selection to choose from. Rollators are often mistaken for walkers – they both serve the same purpose of helping you move around safely while preventing falls.
Walkers are made with a metal frame structure and are primarily used indoors when recovering from a surgery. They typically have no wheels or 2 wheels and require you to have some upper body strength in order to lift the walker as you take steps forward.
Rollators are ideal for indoor and outdoor use. Their frame is a bit more sturdy and the wheels are more durable than a traditional walker. They are equipped with a seat and storage basket for your convenience.
There are also two-in-one options depending on your use and need. ADAPT Home Health Care’s Medical Equipment Specialists would take their time to understand what your challenges are and then provide you with the best solutions possible.
Is there government funding for walkers and rollators?
ADAPT Home Health Care is an ADP Approved Vendor for mobility aids including walkers and rollators. We will help determine if you may qualify and then help connect you with the correct resources in order to complete the application.
It’s important to note that this program is only available if you have not previously accessed the program before. If you have then we will have to determine how long it has been since you received your previously funded walker or rollator and assess its current condition. We then will help connect you with an ADP approved authorizer who will perform an independent assessment to determine your eligibility. If you qualify, you bring the completed application to us and walk out with your rollator. In most cases you are required to pay up to 25% of the cost of the rollator; however, in certain circumstances there will be no charge.
Typically this 25% out-of-pocket expense can be reimbursed through a private insurance plan or be deducted from your yearly income tax.
